Mark Sikes has worked in casting in Los
Angeles for sixteen years. He has been an acting instructor for twenty
years, spending much of his time working with young actors.
Mark spent the first 27 years of his life in Springfield, Massachusetts.
After performing in numerous productions Mark began his directing career
and not long after that became the advisor for a youth theatre group in
Western Massachusetts.
A month after arriving in LA, Mark became a casting assistant at Roger
Corman’s Concorde-New Horizons film production company. One year
to the day of his arrival in Los Angeles, Corman gave Mark his first film
to cast. Since then he has cast over 70 films, two TV series and various
commercials.
Mark has been teaching an on-camera audition technique class in Los Angeles
for nine years. He also produces an industry showcase twice a year for
actors.
Mark has been a guest speaker for UCLA, AADA, AMDA, the SAG Conservatory,
and for many others. He has also been a guest at seminars all over the
